How does one purchase create impact?

Every confirmed WaterDiamonds selection adds one unit to the active milestone counter. When the counter reaches the milestone target (currently 100), the associated project — a deep-bore water well and laptop distribution to Rwanda — is funded and activated. Your purchase is not a donation. It is a qualifying purchase that moves the counter.

Is this built into the price?

No. The impact contribution comes from the margin retained by removing traditional retail markup — not an added charity surcharge. You pay less than traditional retail, retain more equity, and your purchase still counts toward the milestone. There is no premium for participation.

How do you track progress?

The milestone counter is updated manually within 24 hours of each confirmed order. We do not automate the counter in a way that could show inaccurate data. When the milestone is reached, project funding is activated and documentation is published on this page.

Why choose lab-grown over mined?

Lab-grown diamonds are chemically, optically, and physically identical to mined diamonds — confirmed by independent IGI grading. They are produced without mining, which eliminates conflict sourcing risk and removes multiple layers of retail intermediary markup. The result: a certifiably identical stone at a fraction of the mined retail price, with full documentation.

When is the next project funded?

The current milestone target is 100 selections. At 84 confirmed, 16 selections remain. Funding is released when the counter reaches 100. Project timeline and partner documentation will be published here at that point.
